Compassion Project Community Rock Hunt
Congratulations!! If you’ve found this page, you have likely gotten here because you’ve found a GC rock in our community! At Guilford Counseling, we are passionate about mental health, wellness, and building community. We are also passionate about reducing stigma around mental health needs and certain stigmatized diagnoses. Because of that passion, we are hosting a Compassion Project event on April 22 from 3-6pm. If you’ve found a compassion rock, please bring it by to claim your amazing prize. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
If you missed this event, don’t worry – just email us at contact@guilfordcounseling.com and let us know you found a Compassion Rock and we’ll get you set up with a free prize!!
These rocks are part of a campaign at GC to recognize the importance of mental health while working to reduce the stigma of receiving mental health services. The GC compassion project looks to spread unconditional love, empathy and kindness to all individuals in the community who may be experiencing mental health diagnoses. May is Mental Health Awareness and Borderline Personality Awareness (BPD) month. We hope this event will help spread awareness on the importance of mental health and provide an opportunity to get to know some of our community members. Please see the flyer below for more details. We hope to see you at the GC Compassion Project event.
In the video above, we got together some folks with lived experience to have a conversation around their journey with mental wellness, therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Guilford Counseling. Feel free to watch the short version at the top of the page. If you’ve viewed that and are inspired by these individuals (we certainly are) then feel free to grab a cup of coffee or tea, settle in, and join our discussion with the full conversation below.
